Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-Min impressed and got on the score-sheet during his side’s 2-0 Carabao Cup quarter-final win against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night, and Manchester United fans were quick to take to Twitter to say they want their club to sign him.
The versatile 26-year-old started in the centre-forward role with Harry Kane rested on the substitutes’ bench, and he got Spurs’ first goal when he raced on to Dele Alli’s through-ball and finished expertly past Petr Cech.
The South Korea international now has 53 goals in 161 games, as per Transfermarkt, since arriving in north London in 2015, and he might be one of the names linked with a move to Old Trafford next summer should Mauricio Pochettino be named as Jose Mourinho’s long-term successor – according to The Times he wants the job.
Man United supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on Son’s display, and while one described him as the “perfect RW for us”, another said “would love Poch to bring Son with him”.
