da pixbet: David Beckham has been told by Fabio Capello that the England door remains open to him.
da bet esporte: Capello came in for widespread criticism after claiming in a television interview before last month's friendly against Hungary that Beckham was "too old" for international football.
The 35-year-old midfielder is close to making his comeback from the ruptured Achilles tendon injury which forced him to miss the World Cup finals.
Beckham, who picked up the injury while on loan at AC Milan in February, could make his comeback for Los Angeles Galaxy against Columbus Crew in a Major League Soccer fixture on Saturday.
The former captain has also revealed that an England return is not out of the question, with the ex-Manchester United and Real Madrid star keen to add to his haul of 115 caps.
"Obviously it was a surprise when Fabio Capello said I was too old," he said.
"But he spoke to me after that and explained everything to me and it was all brushed under the carpet.
"At the end of the day, the manager's got a job to do and he's doing that well.
"He's said if you're playing well and you're fit you can play."
Meanwhile, Beckham has laughed off suggestions that he could replace Capello as England manager when the Italian steps down in two years' time.Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
